Ergonomic Desk Setup

Is Your Desk Setup Harming Your Posture?

Working from home often starts at the kitchen table or on the couch, but sitting in a poor ergonomic posture for hours every day leads to lower back pain, wrist fatigue, and severe neck strain.

Standard office furniture is built for a one-size-fits-all body type, but ideal ergonomic alignment depends entirely on your exact body height.

Use our Ergonomic Desk Setup Calculator below to select your height and instantly unlock your personalized measurements for chair height, desk height, and monitor angle.

How to Achieve Perfect Ergonomic Posture

Having the right measurements is half the battle; positioning your body correctly completes the setup. Follow these three rules when adjusting your home workspace:

  • The 90-Degree Rule for Seating: Adjust your chair seat height until your feet rest flat on the floor with your knees bent at a comfortable 90-degree angle. This removes pressure from your lower back and thighs.
  • Neutral Wrist & Arm Position: Your desk should sit at a height that allows your shoulders to relax and your elbows to bend at 90 degrees, resting lightly on the surface or armrests without hunching.
  • Eye-Level Screen Alignment: The top third of your computer monitor should align directly with your eye height when sitting up straight. Looking down at a low laptop screen is the #1 cause of tech neck strain.
